Bloody harpsichords

Comments

Not a big Joanna Newsom fan then?
I hadn't heard of her, but she sounds truly awful. Can you recommend a particular track?
She's more of a harp than a harpsichord girl. If you're at all interested I'd say her best work is Emily. It's no Cathal Coughlan, mind.
I downloaded "Emily" from eMusic. That's 12 minutes of my life I won't get back. I can't understate how terrible that was; possibly the worst thing I have ever heard.
Oh no! I feel that if only I had checked back on comment tracking, I could have averted this disaster for you. I wasn't putting her forward as a suggestion, just mentioning her as the only harpsichordist I ever did hear. I gave up after the 30sec clip.

As Knuckles said, she was much more harp than harpsichord. I don't have a fundamental problem with the harp, but it's got to be used sparingly.

I've now got four downloads remaining this month - that's a symphony, Pete, which one should it be?

I feel sorry for the people who lived in harpsichord times and had to endure social events where they all had to gather in a room and listen to one being played all bloody evening.
Forced harpsichord exposure, one of many barbarities left behind by civilised people.
